Druga - i ostatnia - część przeglądu moich stareńkich mumii. Pozostałe cztery wzory nie różnią się stylistycznie od tych, które pokazałem we wcześniejszym wpisie. Prawdę mówiąc i wówczas, gdy nimi grałem, i obecnie, niespecjalnie podobają mi się te figurki. Szczególnie negatywnie odbieram ich broń. Warhammer wkraczał wówczas w nową erę - broń pokazywana na figurkach, jak zresztą i one same, sporo urosły, w niektórych przypadkach w mocno karykaturalny sposób. Nic nie poradzę, że mi się to nie podobało i nie podoba. Dla mnie ideałem figurek są te, które były wcześniej - odpowiadały mi i stylem i wielkością. Oczywiście, w tych wydanych później też jest mnóstwo takich, które mi odpowiadają, niemniej jednak "wolę stare":)
Z Warhammerem, podstawkami 20 mm i figurkami w rodzaju tych mumii mam też - zresztą nie tylko ja - inny problem. Ustawienie tych cholerstw w szyku jest w wielu wypadkach, po prostu, niemożliwe. Wystające ręce, wystające bronie, wszystko to sprawia, że ustawienie tych figurek w regimencie jest frustrujące. Jak bardzo frustrujące przypomniałem sobie ustawiając te marne osiem miniaturek do zdjęcia. No nie dało się i już...
Second - and last - part of "showcase" of my old mummies. Last four designs are made in exactly the same style as the first four, which were shown here. To be honest, I don't like them now and I didn't like them thern. I especially don't like oversized weapons, sign of times to come. Warhammer was going fast into different direction - both regarding style of the game and style of miniatures. Well, my feelings are the same now, 20 years later... Personally, I think that best miniatures made by Citadel were made till 1992, maybe 1993. They have had something... I don't know, style, soul, love. Don't get me wrong, there are tonns of miniatures made after this 1993 mark which I absolutely adore, but overally I'm 'oldhammer' player and collector:)
There is another problem with Warhammer, 20mm bases and miniatures like these mummies. And I think it is a very common problem. Ranking these bastards is close to impossible. Sticking out weapons and arms, small bases, everything together makes ranking such miniatures an excercise in frustration. I almost forgot how frustrating this could be but then I have had to rank my mummies for the photo...
