Skoro pojawił się już Gandalf Szary, czas na jego adwersarza, Sarumana, zwanego Mądrym. Jedna z najwcześniejszych, jeśli nie najwcześniejsza, miniaturka GW pokazująca władcę Isengardu portretuje go jeszcze w okresie, w którym jego zło kryło się pod białymi szatami. Nie jest to kolor specjalnie atrakcyjny na figurce, zwłaszcza gdy - pomalowana zgodnie z filmowym pierwowzorem - nie posiada praktycznie żadnych akcentów kolorowych, które przełamałyby nieco monotonię szat.
Trudno jednak odmówić tej miniaturce pewnego surowego uroku. Rzeźbiarz świetnie uchwycił, moim zdaniem, pozę aktora i rysy jego twarzy, a Mormeg dołożył swoje...
With Gandalf the Grey already shown, it is time for his mighty adversary, Saruman the Wise. One of the earliest, if not THE earliest miniature of this character released by GW, it shows the master of Isengard in his white robes hiding inner evil. White isn't the most attractive color for any miniature, especially when this figure is painting in the colors of the original character from the movie, without any significant areas of colors.
Still, it is hart to say that this is bad miniature. I really like its jagged charm and I think that sculptor has perfectly depicted bot actor's pose and his face and Mormeg's painting adds to the overall feel of this character.
