Miniaturka widoczna obok, część mojego projektu "godzinowych" szkieletów, to figurka dość, może nie niezwykła ogólnie, jednak z historią. To jeden z bodajże sześciu szkieletów wyrzeźbionych przez Roy'a Eastlanda, rzeźbiarza pracującego dość krótko dla Citadel, a potem dla Target Games, pracującego głównie nad figurkami do "Chronopii", świetnego kolegę i bardzo sympatycznego człowieka. Pokazywałem wcześniej jednego z innych jego kościanych ludków, dziś prezentuję kolejnego, a w zapasie mam jeszcze jednego. Czwartego już namierzyłem, dwaj ostatni są - na razie - poza moją kolekcją. Figurki są o tyle niezwykłe, że niespecjalnie pasują stylem do wczesnych szkieletów produkcji Citadel, są też odmienne od szkieletów Maraudera. Gdybym miał je porównywać do "oficjalnych" produktów firm związanych z GW, chyba najbliżej im do produktów Iron Claw. Są duże, nawet bardzo duże, mają charakterystycznie robione ostrza broni (Roy rzeźbił je szlifując kawałek stwardniałej drobnoziarnistej masy plastycznej), mają też bardzo duże stopy.
Miniature visible next to this note is part of my "one hour per skeleton" project but this is a figure with a history too. It is one of the six (I think six, maybe there are more of them) skeletons sculpted for Games Workshop by Roy Eastland. He was working relatively shortly for Citadel, then for Target Games, where most of Chronopia miniatures were sculpted by him. I met him at the Target's studio then, and he was really cool person. One of his Citadel skellies was already featured here, on my blog, this is second, third is already painted too and I know where I have fourth of his bone gentlemen. Finding fifth and sixth miniatures will be one of prorities for my collection I think.
Roy's miniatures are a little unusual, as they are different then "standard" Citadel skellies. They do not resemble Marauder's skellies too. I think that they are vaguely similar to Iron Claw's undeads (another small company connected with Citadel). Roy's skeletons are big, really big, they have large weapon blades (Roy used to sculpt them using fine grade sculpey), they have really big foot too...
