Na tarczy podoba mi się malowanie starego drewna. Jakoś moje próby malowania takich elementów niespecjalnie mi wychodzą. Mormeg używa prostej, ale jak widać skutecznej metody. Na czarny podkład nanoszony jest brąz metodą suchego pędzla, potem mocno rozwodniony czarny po całości, a na to idzie delikatny drybrush jasnym brązowym. Muszę spróbować.
One more Mormeg's orc, again old plastic miniature with a shield from Chaos Marauders box. I love design of his helmet, slightly similar to hundsgugel helmet. I'm sure it is not the best design for foot combat but it looks ace I think. Skin of this orc is again green, to break up a little darker tones of previously painted figures.
I really like old wood effect on the shield. My attempts at painting old, worn wood are not really good I think. Mormeg uses simple but effective method - black undercoat, drubrushed with dark brown, then heavily dilluted black paint as a wash and then light drybrush with light brown. I have to try it.
